ANOTHER WINNER !
Wednesday 10 October 2018

On 3rd October, one of The Arts Society’s most popular lecturers, Valerie Woodgate (who visited us not long ago to talk about Edvard Munch), gave a lecture to A level Art students at King Edward’s College on ‘Modern Art and the Old Masters’.

Val took the students on a fascinating journey through more than five centuries of art, exploring connections and interactions between periods, genres, artists and subjects. ‘All art is in some way about other art,’ says Val – and she certainly gave the sixth-formers plenty to think about!

This lecture was funded by AS Stourbridge, and was an initiative by our outgoing Young Arts Rep, Ann Norgate.  Congratulations to Ann for this hugely successful project – and thanks for everything she has done for Young Arts in Stourbridge over the past ten years.
